Report: Browns are expected to hire Bill Callahan

It looks like the Browns will have a top assistant with head coaching experience working under Kevin Stefanski in his first year as the boss in Cleveland. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Bill Callahan is expected to take a job on the Browns staff as the offensive line coach. Callahan has done that job for the Jets, Cowboys and Washington over the last 12 years and has also held offensive coordinator and assistant head coach titles over that span.

Redskins president Bruce Allen reportedly no longer running football operations

Washington Redskins president Bruce Allen has been stripped of his duties running football operations, according to a report by NBC Sports Washington and confirmed by ESPN. The Redskins (3-12) will conclude at the Dallas Cowboys (7-8) on Sunday afternoon with interim coach Bill Callahan to finish their worst season since 2014. On Monday, the organization is expected to announce Allen's move as well as “numerous other changes within the organization,” per ESPN.

Washington interim head coach Bill Callahan is hoping to lose the “interim” label after the season. Giants, Washington head to overtime

Washington head coach Bill Callahan had a chance to go for two points and take a 29-28 lead over the Giants with 29 seconds left in regulation. Callahan opted for a Dustin Hopkins extra point and two of the league's worst teams will continue playing an entertaining game in overtime. Washington drove 99 yards for a Case Keenum 1-yard touchdown run to get within one point of the Giants.
