Latest Lakers win has a better Lonzo Ball written all over it

LOS ANGELES — It’s common to hear Lakers players talking about Lonzo Ball in the terms Tyson Chandler used after Tuesday night’s win over the Chicago Bulls. He does the little things. He makes the right plays. Et cetera. “For Zo, he does all the intangibles,” he said. “He does everything for the team defensively, making plays, rebounding. He’s one of those guards who can take over the game without filling up the stat sheet.” But for the Lakers (24-21), the 107-100 win over the Bulls was a nice r...

Observations from Bulls-Lakers: Jabari's back in the rotation and Lakers fans get no tacos!

The Bulls have now lost eight straight. The most recent defeat came in Los Angeles against a LeBron-less Lakers team, and there's not a whole lot to take from it. Jabari Parker looks like he's back in the rotation to stay - or until he's traded - and while it was just a one-game sample size, he sure looks like he wants to remain there, too.

The Southwestern Sojourn - Day 48: Gila Bend Museum and other sights

This morning, I rode Scarlett the 25 miles or so to the nearby highway junction town of Gila Bend after a pretty good sunrise: The town, as I understand it, has basically been the junction point of travel technologies over the history of the region.  From wagons, to trains, and now auto highways, Gila Bend, has functioned as a meeting point.I got some groceries and then toured the museum at the city's visitor center. It's a small museum, basically contained in one large room that is part...
