A Deadly Valentine’s: Cinema’s 17 Most Dangerous Couples

Rapturous admissions of love – with all their rose-colored dressings and happiest endings – are not strictly reserved for the purest hearts. Even those most wicked, villainous souls can experience companionship in any form required (human, demigod, demonic ruler, etc). Society doesn’t normally classify these “nightmare” stories as “romantic,” but cinema operates to argue otherwise. Love stories come in all moods, genres, and methods of display – or, at the very least, double as a facade for ev...

Jennifer Tilly Joins Chucky’s Creator in Not Approving of the Child’s Play Remake

Oh, Child’s Play. What a strange horror franchise you are. The most remarkable thing about it is that it’s gone so long without a reboot, maintaining a straight series of bizarre sequels featuring Chucky, his wife, and his whole terrifying doll family until now. But, the reboot is a-comin’, and not everyone approves.Read more...

‘Child’s Play’ Remake Trailer Breakdown: Hey, This Doesn’t Look Awful

The Child’s Play remake trailer is here, and…it looks okay? If you’ve been reading my work here at /Film, you know I’m not a fan of the idea of this film. I’m a die hard Child’s Play franchise fan, and there was no need to launch a remake. For one thing, the original franchise is still going, with original creator Don Mancini at the helm. Why start over again? And yet, if I’m being honest, I don’t hate what I see here. Child’s Play Remake Trailer First and foremost: this is more of a te...

Guillem Balague update on Arsenal’s move for Denis Suarez

Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has this afternoon provided an update on Arsenal’s proposed swoop for Barcelona outcast Denis Suarez. Barcelona outcast Suarez, a versatile 24-year-old who can play either in an attacking-midfield role or on the wing, has been on Barca’s books since 2016, when he made the move to the Camp Nou from Villarreal. However, despite having arrived in Catalunya with weighty expectations on his young shoulders, Suarez’s Blaugrana stint has, to this point, proved rathe...

As per a report from Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Premier League outfit Arsenal have revved up their chase of PSV Eindhoven star Hirving Lozano. PSV standout Lozano, an explosive 23-year-old wide-man, joined Eredivisie outfit PSV from Pachuca in the summer of 2017, since going on to make a lasting impression in the Netherlands. Despite playing out wide, Lozano, known more commonly as ‘Chucky’, racked up 10 goals and 3 assists in his first 12 appearances in the Dutch top-flight, eventually f...

Schumer presses Rand Paul to release procedural hold I missed this over the Christmas holiday, wasn't like it was gonna make the front page with the MSM anyhow. So it appears Chucky is against spending the first dime on a border wall/border security here in the US, but is perfectly okay with using billions of US taxpayer dollars for Israel's security, border or otherwise. If only Rand Paul would just cave in on this stubborn notion of ****ing away US taxpayer monies on foreign aid.

Child’s Play

First off, I had completely forgotten that Brad Dourif plays Chucky, which was a pleasant surprise. I can’t remember what the last Chucky movie I saw was (probably the second or third), but I had a fun time with this. Sure, there’s lots of cheesy moments, but there’s still something pretty creepy about a doll running around killing people (and cursing). I hear they’re doing a remake film, as well as a new TV series, and re-watching this has made me more interested in checking out these new take...

‘Child’s Play’ Remake Chucky Revealed in New Behind-the-Scenes Image

News surrounding the Child’s Play remake hasn’t exactly been received with welcomed arms by horror fans. Perhaps in an attempt to assuage fan concerns, a new behind-the-scenes pic has been released, highlighting the film’s practical effects being used to create the new Chucky. Horror fans love practical effects, and at the very least, this confirms there won’t be a CGI Ch...
