Colin Kaepernick Agent, Increasingly Frustrated At NFL’s Snub, Sends Out Press Release

Colin Kaepernick is obviously growing more and more frustrated that the National Football League is ignoring him. Kapernick's agent, Jeff Nailey, and PR director Jasmine Windham sent out a Q&A press release on Thursday titled “Facts to Address The False Narratives Regarding Colin Kaepernick.” The release was apparently issued in frustration that the Pittsburgh Steelers are choosing to start an undrafted rookie, Devin Hodges from tiny Samford College, rather than enlist the former 49ers star...

The blatant blackballing of Colin Kaepernick continues

And, yes, something continues to be very wrong with that picture. The NFL continues to blackball Kaepernick, consistently and continuously ignoring his ongoing desire to return to the NFL. The fact that the league has successfully blackballed him for two-plus seasons actually makes it easier now, since the knee-jerk response to the possibility of a Kaepernick return from many is that he hasn't played in nearly three years.

Should your brand take a stand?

Almost a year ago, Nike released a “just do it” ad campaign for their 30th anniversary featuring Colin Kaepernick, the football player at the center of the “taking a knee” controversy in the NFL. The hashtag #Nikeboycott emerged and within 48 hours of the campaign’s launch, the stock prices fell as peop...

How Brands Must Shift To Engage Generation Z

The year 1997 was an eventful one in global history. From a 21-year-old Tiger Woods winning his first Masters and the landing of the Mars Pathfinder, to the tragic passing of Princess Diana and the birth of a cultural phenomenon known as Harry Potter, it really was a year to remember. For brands, 1997 is a year that should hold special significance in relation to 2019 and beyond. According to the Pew Research Center it is the first birth year of a new and elusive group of consumers: Generati...
