A 24-year-old Worcester man charged with a string of recent robberies, including one Thursday at the Commerce Bank on Lincoln Street, was ordered held without bail Monday pending a dangerousness hearing Wednesday in Central District Court. Richard Vinton Jr. of 25 Goldthwaite Road was arraigned from his hospital bed by videoconference on charges of unarmed robbery, five counts of armed robbery while masked and five counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.

WORCESTER – Police said a Goldthwaite Road man arrested in the robbery of a Commerce Bank branch on Thursday is a suspect in five armed robberies since Dec. 26. Richard Vinton Jr., 24, of 25 Goldthwaite Road, is being held on $50,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Worcester Central District Court.
