Review: Santa Cruz Chameleon R Aluminum 29

If you were riding bikes in the late-1990’s, you might remember the introduction of a colorful little frame from California-based Santa Cruz Bicycles called the Chameleon. It’s kind of funny to think that the kids I see on the pump track, hitting way bigger stuff than I feel good about, have never not been alive in a world that didn’t have a Santa Cruz Chameleon for them to shred on. It’s a storied frame with a long, successful history, and the most radical change has been the most recent adapta...

Wednesday morning, after my visit to Indy Arms Co, I headed downtown to pick up some processed film at Roberts Camera. My order wasn't supposed to be ready until noon, so I figured I'd grab a little lunch on the way down. A Look at LAX’s Plans for Terminal 9 and Concourse 0

It’s been discussed for ages, but now the plans are real. Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will (eventually) build a bunch more gates in Concourse 0 and Terminal 9. When done, this will eliminate all remote gates and allow for a more sensible organization at the airport between alliances while quite possibly snarling road traffic. But don’t expect this to happen any time soon. If it’s done by the 2028 Olympics, I’ll consider this to have been a speedy project. Though the optimal so...
