This is delicious – I sauteed some italian sweet sausages after the corn/zucchini and before the onion for some protein. Added it in with the farro in the oven. Made it a little more filling and tastes amazing!

Link Love: Meaningful Jewellery & Tattoos

I found this article, in which four women share the meaning of their inherited jewellery, heart-warming “As a jewelry designer, I draw inspiration from items handed down to me to create pieces that can become treasured heirlooms. Pieces which will hold the stories of those who wear them, to be passed down so they can live on. I wanted to hear more of these stories, so I asked four second-generation Canadians about the rings, necklaces, and earrings given to them and heard about the resilience, s...

The 12 Best Film Composers Of All Time

There's more to a film score than an opening theme, though many of the more recognizable composers got to where they are by writing the theme to a beloved franchise. Film scores set the mood. They create an environment. As far as post-production goes, music is as important as editing when it comes to tone and pacing. Sometime you don't even notice the score in the background of a film, and that's powerful too. There's a reason that a lot of people like listening to film scores while working. It'...

Is Zombieland 3 Ever Going To Happen? Here's What We Know

(Welcome to Will There Be a Sequel?, a series where we answer that question and explore what comes next.)"Zombieland" was released in the fall of 2009 and ended up becoming a bit of a surprise, both critically and commercially. Fun, inventive, and (perhaps most importantly) successful, it paved the way for a sequel. Albeit a decade after the original came out. "Zombieland: Double Tap" arrived 10 years later and, as luck would have it, lightning struck twice. Critics and fans mostly dug it. Sony ...

Air Fried Okra

Confession: The real reason I’ve had fried okra on my mind is because on the drive home from Nashville (from visiting Elsie) a few weeks ago, Trey and I stopped at a combination gas station/fried chicken place for lunch. I didn’t actually get any fried chicken BUT I did have some delicious fried okra and a pretty amazing biscuit. Ha. So, of course I realized I needed to get my air frier out and see if I could make some air fried okra, asap! I don’t pull out my air frier every night, but w...

By HOWARD FENDRICH AP Tennis Writer NEW YORK — Emma Raducanu and Leylah Fernandez are so similar in so many ways: They possess enviable quickness and anticipation. They take balls low to the ground and redirect them with ease. They don’t care how much better-known or more successful opponents are. They love the big moment. There’s more. They’re both teenagers. They’re both unseeded at the U.S. Open. They’re both getting loud backing from the crowds. And now, remarkably, they’re both Grand Slam f...

Anya Taylor-Joy Was Cast As Young Furiosa After George Miller Saw Last Night In Soho

Today is turning into "Last Night in Soho" day and that's A-Okay by me. Hot on the heels of the quotes by cast and crew that the upcoming psychological horror/thriller from filmmaker Edgar Wright will attempt to wrestle with topics such as the dangers of nostalgia as well as the exploitation of women, it now appears that the film is also responsible for a key creative choice made in another project entirely: George Miller's upcoming "Furiosa" prequel, a spin-off/prequel to his masterful "Mad Max...

Comment on takeout-style sesame noodles with cucumber by Emma

I love this recipe. The sauce is delicious! The first time I made it just as instructed and it was great. I’ve made it 5 of 6 times now and have been riffing on it in different ways each time, changing up the herbs and the way I cut the cucumbers. I love doing half noodles, half greens (usually spring mix or spinach), adding scallions with the herbs, and adding baked tofu cubes or those frozen vegetarian chick’n strips for protein. I just made it and added strips of carrots (cut thin and flat wi...
