Tanks A Lot! Transformers Armada Galvatron with Clench Review by GotBot

While I was not a fan of the Transformers Armada Optimus (not even slightly), Galvatron (based on the Megatron mold) might be a different story. Note, this is, technically, part 2 of this series. I looked at Tidal Wave a long, long time ago.

Armada Optimus Megaweapon Mode: Optimus/Jetfire and Overload Review by GotBot

Concluding my recent 4 part series, we dive into the combined mode of Transformers Armada Optimus Prime, Jetfire and Overload. Sure, the end result is big, hefty and definitely imposing, with a base even; BUT.

Armada Optimus Prime: It'll be a Success if He Doesn't Catch on Fire by GotBot

Yeesh! Quite possible the worst Transformer ever and definitely the worse Optimus. I might not be a Unicron Trilogy guy, but Armada fans deserve better, and Cybertron and Energon were infinitely better. This? This is.....well, let's just say not good, lol. This is part 1 of 4, we'll see if he gets better later on with some help.

A Fierce Onslaught: Jinbao OS KO Warbotron Fierce Attack by GotBot

Rounding out the Jinbao OS KO Warbotron team is the leader of the group, Fierce Attack, who in and of himself is a third party homage to the Combaticon Leader, Onslaught! He is very middle of the road, with various good and bad points. Luckily, what he hits on as excellent help make him a terrific version of the character.

Not too Big, Not too Small, Just Right? - MFT Huge Dragon by GotBot

This time I look at the Mech Fans Toys Huge Dragon - their take on the Transformers Autobot titan base named Omega Supreme. While much smaller than a typical representation of the character he homages (standing roughly Leader class size), he captures the look and essence of Omega very well. The articulation allows for some excellent dynamic poses but a couple joints could benefit from a wider range of motion.

Sending in the Big Guns: Earthrise Bombshock and Growl by GotBot

This time I look at the Transformers Earthrise Bombshock and Growl, collectively known as the micromaster Decepticon Military Patrol. Granted, this update only represents 2 out of the 4 characters who make up the group, but they do look very true to the characters with beautiful paint applications. The conversion is also easy and intuitive.

Be Cool: Transformers Earthrise Hot Rod Patrol Review by GotBot

This time I look at the Transformers Earthrise Daddy-O (or Big Daddy) and Trip-up, collectively known as the micromaster Hot Rod Patrol. Granted, this update only presents 2 our of the 4 characters who make up the group, but they do look very true to the characters with beautiful paint applications. The conversion is also easy and intuitive.

By Any Other Name - Hot Soldier Fly Over Mountain (Cliffjumper) and Taxi (Hubcap) by GotBot

This time I look at the Hot Soldiers 15 and 16, Fly Over Mountain and Taxi, better known as the Autobots Cliffjumper and Hubcap. These are essentially the same molds with different heads and coloration. However, both are extremely accurate to their animation models, perhaps even perfect. They come with an abundance of accessories.

Siege Red Wing - Hope for Him Outside of the US (for Canada at least)? by GotBot

This time I look at the Transformers Siege Red Wing. This exclusive redeco of the popular seeker mold is based on a character with little history, whose existence is largely based on a series of miscommunications. However, the resulting mix of red, white and black is very eye-catching. Functionally, he is as excellent as all other uses of the mold.

A Great Floor, and that's No Bull! - Earthrise Soundbarrier and Smashdown by GotBot

While I looked at Smashdown under the Siege line (same figure), he appears here again as a frame of reference when our real focus this time around is on Earthrise Soundbarrier! He's a heck of a floor..

Can Such a Little Guy Pack a Big Punch? Earthrise Vs. Generations Cliffjumper by GotBot

Unexpected look at the Transformers Earthrise Vs. Generations Cliffjumper. I have been HIGHLY critical of such a small deluxe.

Whose the Better Inventor? Generations Vs. Earthrise Wheeljack by GotBot

I, for one, always loved my Generations Wheeljack. His conversion was clever. The articualtion worked surprisingly well. He (sorta) looked the part. But, enter Earthrise. For accuracy, he wins hands down, but is he better, functionally speaking? This time I look at the Transformers Earthrise Wheeljack and compare him to his Generations version.

Earthrise Ironworks is a Great G1 Update...and More by GotBot

This time I look at the Transformers Earthrise deluxe class Ironworks. This is an unexpected but welcomed entry in the line that nicely compliments the Siege micromaster Irontread. Traditionally, the micromaster has a transformable base. In fact, ironically, last summer, I said that an update to said G1 micromaster base would be nice to see and may well be overdue.

The Ideal G1 Generations Optimus? UPDATE to Custom Earthrise Optimus Prime by GotBot

In a follow up to my comparison between my custom Siege versus Earthrise Optimus Prime, many people asked if there were things that could be done to make the ER just a little bit more G1, especially since everything is attached with pins and not screws. Well, the answer is, yes. With a little TLC and rectifying a couple of color choices, we might now have an ideal (?) Generations Optimus Prime.

No real comparison as Earthrise Grapple is a sleeper hit but Solar Storm Grapple is a nice lad too.

Who Screams Louder? Siege Vs. Earthrise Starscream by GotBot

This time I look at the Transformers Earthrise voyager class Starscream, and compare him to my custom Siege version. In jet mode, the comparison becomes extremely difficult because it truly depends on whether you like a tetra jet or earth fighter jet better. In terms of coloration, both have strengths and weaknesses, but in my opinion Siege, with custom work, edges out the win because it looks more cohesive and slender (although the head sculpt on the Earthrise is flawless).

Can There Only be One? Custom Siege Vs. Earthrise Optimus by GotBot

This time I look at the Transformers Earthrise leader class Optimus Prime, with trailer, and compare him to my custom Siege version with the Second Chance SC-01 Repair Station. In terms of coloration, both have strengths and weaknesses, but Siege, with custom work, edges out the win. When it comes to accessories, Earth Rise, has a matrix.

Top 10 Worst of My Entire Transformers Collection by GotBot

This time I count down the ten worst Transformers in my personal collection. These include everything from Generations, to Combiner Wars, Robots in Disguise, Siege and more. No one is safe. This list really scrapes the bottom of the barrel; yet, I am still glad to have many of them in my Autobot and Decepticon ranks, despite their lack-luster nature.

A Number of the Beast Review - Black Mamba Vs. POTP VOLCANICUS by GotBot

In a somewhat creepy coincidence, episode 666 is where we compare the POTP Volcanicus with the Black Mamba version, an unholy combiner some call an homage to the beast from the comics of years gone by.

Maybe the Biggest Departure? Black Mamba Vs. POTP Snarl Review by GotBot

Black Mamba vs. POTP Dinobot Snarl rounds out the four limbs of Volvanicus. Snarl may also be the biggest departure from the original deluxe sized mold, including one part that is oddly completely different, yet still functional.

Trade One Joint for Another? Black Mamba Vs. POTP Sludge Review by GotBot

Second up for Black Mamba vs. POTP Dinobots is Sludge (my personal favorite). He is bigger, yes, but that's not the only difference. There are a couple that are more subtle but, arguably, more effective.
