Firework officially launches a short-form video storytelling app, backed by Lightspeed

Facebook usage declined for the first time in a decade, while video-centric apps like TikTok are being touted as the future of social media. Entering this redefined playing field comes Firework, a fast-growing social video app whose clever trick is something it calls “Reveal videos” – a way for creators to take both horizontal and vertical video in one shot from their mobile device. Video viewers can then twist their phone as the video plays to watch from a new perspective and see more of the sc...

An old warehouse is rehabbed into chic apartments in Montreal

A former industrial warehouse in Montreal has been reborn as an airy and modern residential development thanks to the work of local architectural practice Blouin Tardif Architectes. Originally built at the turn of the century, the building has shed its manufacturing persona, yet the adaptive reuse project retains traces of its industrial past with exposed beams, tall ceilings and a brick facade. Dubbed Monument, the renovated building consists of seven contemporary apartments. Located in the h...

'I Am Heath Ledger' Focuses On The Actor's Life, Not His Death

Heath was the most alive human and if it wasn’t on the edge, it didn’t interest him. If there wasn’t some type of risk involved, he had no time for it. That quote by musician Ben Harper opens “I Am Heath Ledger,” the new documentary premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival April 23 and airing on Spike TV next month.  Harper joins Heath Ledger’s closest friends and family members in the heartwarming project, di...

‘Marauders’ Trailer: Bruce Willis Is at the Center of a Bank Robbery Conspiracy

In recent years, Bruce Willis has been sleepwalking his way through a lot of action thrillers. That’s truly a shame since we know he’s still capable of doing great work in movies like Looper and Moonrise Kingdom. Sadly, a new bank heist movie called Marauders doesn’t appear to be one of his better choices, even if the story does have some intriguing elements to it. Christopher Meloni (Law and Order: SVU), Adrian Grenier (Entourage) and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) play the FBI agents...
