New ComTac VI NIB Tactical headset from 3M PELTOR

With the right technology you can combine hearing protection with communication, and the 6:th generation of the 3M PELTOR ComTac™ VI NIB Headset does […] The post appeared first on The Firearm Blog.

The LUCI Immers wants to be the first style-conscious VR headset

My strongest visual memory of VR headsets is this image of Mark Zucerkberg walking past an entire audience wearing VR headsets. There’s a lot to discuss about this picture. Especially the element of dystopia, where masses have these large cuboids strapped to their faces, completely absorbed in their virtual world, oblivious to their surroundings. This feeling is brought about by the VR headsets, which are enormous, and truth be told, ugly.VR’s always had this bad rap, thanks to their hulking des...

This headset gives your nose a VR experience too

I’ll give the guys at Feelreal a pass because the VR market is only growing, so we may have to wait a decent amount of time before multisensory VR headsets don’t look like someone glued a toaster to your face. Its bulky design aside, the Feelreal is an attachment that adds an olfactory element to your VR experience. Compatible with the Oculus Rift, Go, HTC Vive, Samsung Galaxy VR, and the Playstation VR, the Feelreal snaps to the bottom of the headset, sitting right in front of the nose. It th...

HyperX Cloud MIX Headset Review

We’ve been fans of HyperX’s Cloud gaming headsets since they were first released a few years back. Since the first headset HyperX has just got it right in terms of sound quality, comfort, and style. The most sensible professional VR headset ever designed

The future in which we’re perpetually strapped to AR or VR headsets is a distant, dystopic one. At most, we’d use a VR headset for 2-3 hours of work or gaming, in conjunction with our desktop PC. That temporary use is what triggered the design of the Pega VR4. It sits in its dock, right beside your desktop, and plugs to your head when you need.Short and fragmented VR experiences are much more likely in the present and the near future, says designer YuHsun Chung. People often take to VR to visual...

My Gamer Son Recommends Turtle Beach Recon 200 Headset

We received the above Turtle Beach headset to facilitate this review. All opinions are 100% honest and our own. Being someone who used to be an avid gamer back in the day, it amazes me how much has improved. My gaming days stopped with the Sega Genesis, which I still own a pair of them. My girlfriend at the time, whom now is my wife bought me the first PlayStation.  Seeing that my son was just born, it didn’t interest me, so I gave it to my little cousins. When my son was in elementary school,...

Cheap gaming headset just as nice as my expensive one

This $33 Bengoo stereo gaming headset is every bit as nice as my $100+ one. Gaming and marijuana do not mix. I break headsets and controllers pretty regularly, every few months something gets dropped hard, or yanked off my head by a dog running past and catching the cable (OUCH!!!) I get tired of replacing them. This Bengoo headset feels every bit as nice as the expensive SkullCandy set it is replacing. The plastic is just as plastic. The ear cups and padding are plenty comfortable. The sound...
