Big Welsh Sing-along planned for hospital radio

On St David’s Day, hospital radio stations across Wales are getting together for a ‘Big Welsh Sing-along’. Hospital Radio Conference and Awards event cancelled

The Hospital Broadcasting Association has cancelled the 2021 Conference and Awards event due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The event was scheduled for March in Bolton but the team in charge doesn’t want to take any risks at this stage. Aled Haydn-Jones helps Radio Bronglais celebrate

Head of BBC Radio 1 Aled Haydn Jones has helped Bronglais General Hospital’s radio station celebrate its 50th anniversary. Aled is a former volunteer at Radio Bronglais, the patient service which launched in 1970 as Radio Atlantis. Hospital radio stations given access to BBC bulletins

All hospital radio stations in the UK are being offered free access to BBC bulletins and other local content during the coronavirus pandemic. It comes as the broadcaster announced that 3,000 local bulletins a week were already available to community stations across England. Radio St Helier turns 50 with virtual celebration

Volunteers at South West London hospital station Radio St Helier are celebrating 50 years of broadcasting with a day of live shows. Hospital Radio Conference and Awards 2020 cancelled

The Hospital Broadcasting Association has decided to cancel its annual conference and awards ceremony, which was due to run from Friday 27th March to Sunday 29th March in Bolton, due to COVID-19. Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio switches from AM to FM

Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio has been granted an FM licence and will start broadcasting on 87.7 this week. North Devon Hospital radio studios undergo £10k refurbishment

New radio studios at the North Devon District Hospital for Tarka Radio have been officially opened following a £10,000 fundraising campaign for improvements.
