Over night Final Rise - Cover?

Over night Final Rise - Cover? Submitted by patman23 on April 23, 2019 - 5:55am. Howdy Folks! Been playing with SD recipes and have decided that I really like the over night final rise results. The last couple times I’ve made this recipe, I seem to be forming a bit of a crust on my dough whilst its in the fridge. What do you cover your dough with to prevent this? Ive used plastic wrap, Ive also tried letting it rise in a Pyrex dish with the glass lid on and I still get a dried out r...

Consumer Law Issues: Stuck in 5 Year Contract with No Reasonable Cancellation Fee

My question involves a consumer law issue in the State of: Texas Hello, a year ago I signed a contract with a security company. I just moved to my house and decided to use the previous owners security. I called them and on phone they said it was a cancel anytime contract service so I asked them to go ahead and make an install appointment. The guy came and installed and after gave me papers to sign. My fault, I scanned over the fine print and thought it was for the monthly payments. I later find...

Basic White Sandwich Bread Recipe

Basic White Sandwich Bread Recipe Submitted by patman23 on April 9, 2019 - 2:58pm. Howdy folks, So I’ve been playing with this white bread recipe. Or trying to get consistant results using this recipe is a bit more accurate.  That said, Ive gotten it worked out pretty well at this point. It’s a great PB&J kind of bread and makes a killer grilled cheese for dipping into tomato soup.  Here is the recipe I’ve been using. http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/40523/white-sandwich-loaf-soft-f...

A couple more murders in my area

Woke up to the news this morning and seen that 4 people were shot and 2 killed within a few miles of my house. Since Ive moved here in 2003 there has been at least 6 killed within a couple miles from home and this is a rural area. Murder rate for this area just went up again and had one less than a month ago within walking distance from here. What is wrong with these people. 2003-https://www.crossville-chronicle.com/news/local_news/mother-child-shot-and-shot-to-death-in-church-parking/article_8...

Advice on dehydrating meat for Pemmican ?

Im interested in making Pemmican, to preserve meat, and especially for camping trips. Im curious as to who might have some experience ? I want to use salt to cure for dehydrating my meat. Can I just roll the meat in salt before I dehydrate ? I dont want to marinate ... I make Tallow on a regular basis so Ive got fat ready to go, I just dont have experience dehydrating / curing meat. Thanks.

Why are AR-15 armorer classes LEO/MIL only?

I currently on an AK and I havent shot an ar yet, but I kinda feel left out everybody i know has an ar. I did some math on weight and it really suprised me. Ak 8lbs Mag 2lbs 22lbs Ar 6.5lbs Mag 1lbs 13.5lbs 8.5lb difference The AK is quite a bit heavier than the AR. That alone has me interested and I tried looking up AR armorer classes since i see alot of “rifle kits” for sale on PSA super cheap but I have no idea how to put one together. The classes I can find are usually out of state and all s...

Converting a 5x8 enclosed cargo trailer into a custom work station/camper

So over the past couple months I have been converting a little 5x8 V nose trailer that was originally manufactured with a ramp gate and a side door. It also has an incandescent bulb on a switch installed in it, right in the center of the trailer ceiling next to the square plastic vent that pops up when you give the dial some turns. If you know anything about trailers, this is all pretty common stuff here... So DeWalt makes a tool storage system that they call the “ToughSystem”... they are extr...

Rams Q&A with Rich Hammond: Which unexpected player will step up in Super Bowl LIII?

In the prelude to Super Bowl LIII between the Rams and the New England Patriots, SCNG beat reporter Rich Hammond answered reader’s questions Friday on his Twitter account. Here are some of the questions and answers.  (Some questions might be edited for clarity.) Q: Two back set for the Super Bowl? Todd Gurley and CJ Anderson? – @RSince76 A: No, don’t see that happening. Two tight ends would be more likely. Patriots are really good at stopping up-the-gut runs, which is CJ’s strength. This is Gurl...

.357 magnum reloading question...

Hey there Ive only ever used jacketed bullets, but recently I got a deal on some hard cast that I could not pass up..... and ive got a ton of it. Looking for a nice target load that I can mass produce... Ive been told that loading hardcast too hot can cause leading, which I was aware of... but also that loading them too light can cause leading as well. Here are some loads I put together. They both shot nice and below is the data from them.. Anyone in the know, let me know what you think Th...

Unemployed again

Well got called into HR this morning to be told I was being let go. This was the same company that let me go in 2009 due to the economy. However this time it was for performance which after being promoted in 2017 they had better overall numbers. Ive worked a total of 23 years for that damn place and this is what I get for working over, organizing the work area etc. They also mentioned for 2019 we had to improve by 10% which we did but feel now that Im part of that 10%. Never had any attendance ...

High Standard 1911 Government Model

Ill preface this by saying I swore Id never bother with any more 1911's that werent Colt. Never say never I guess. :) Was in a local shop and he had this High Standard in the case for $325. Basically, its a "close" version of the GI 1911A1. I thought HS went out of business "again", a while back, and didnt even know they were making these. It has an import stamp on the bottom of the dust cover... "APINTL-PAHRUMP NV-ACP PHILIPPINES". (just got to looking and it looks like its made by ARMSCOR) Lo...

An armed guard reportedly transporting a 'very special load' for Apple was killed in a fatal truck crash

California police said a man was killed Wednesday in a highway crash after a truck driver fell asleep behind the wheel. A Glock 21 SF with a factory threaded barrel and suppressor sights, and a couple of extra mags. Now I gotta go find a can for it. It never ends. :) ....... curiosity and resolve

Jony Ive, Chief Design Officer at Apple, was the first recipient of the Stephen Hawking Fellowship at Cambridge Union. His lecture to a crowd of about 400 was covered by The Independent — Apple designer Jony Ive explains how ‘teetering towards the absurd’ helped him make the iPhone What struck me was how Ive clearly showed that to produce creative work one has to balance between getting lots of ideas and getting things done, especially creative new things. This constant dance between bigger grou...

If you carry AIWB, you may want to check these out

Ive been using a Blade Tech "Ambi Klipt" AIWB type holster daily for a number of years now, and really like it. Great holster, secure retention, good protection for both you and the gun, comfortable to wear, quickly on and easy off. About a week or so ago, I noticed the belt clip was about done. It didnt actually "break", but its been pulled on to get the gun on and off so much, that its not going back fully to where it belongs for proper retention, and a couple of times, the last time practici...

I Feel Like Nothing Will Ever Get Better for Me

My problem started when i started seriously training in ballet. I loved ballet and considered it my life. Around the age of 12 my mother made it seem to me that ballet was the only thing i could do in my life and i had no other option but to do it. Ballet made me hate myself, i constantly felt like i was not good enough and even my teachers would tell me i wasnt good enough. So i quit ballet and everything went downhill from there. I made a bad decision just like im sure every teenager has done ...

How the Apple Watch changed the world

In 2015 Switzerland was fucked. This blunt belief, grunted out by Apple’s Jony Ive and repeated by the media as a death knell for the watch industry, seemed to define a sad truth: that the Swiss watch was dead and Apple pulled the trigger. Now, three years and four Apple Watches later, was Ive right? Did Apple change the world? And, most importantly, did Switzerland survive? Yes, but… As you might have noticed the Swiss watch industry is still standing. The major Swiss houses – LVMH, Richem...
