‘The Call of the Wild’ Clip: Harrison Ford Befriends a Cartoon Dog

The Call of the Wild looks like a perfectly nice movie. Harrison Ford grew a beard and signed up to make a family film, which is surprising, since he seems like he’d rather…not do that sort of thing. But here he is, starring in Call of the Wild as John Thornton, who sets off on an adventure with a big dog named Buck. Buck is the real star of this movie, and he’s also completely digitally animated, which is just a little weird. Watch a new Call of the Wild clip below, where Harrison Ford meets B...

Apongo had been a military leader in West Africa during a period of imperial expansion and intensive warfare there. During this time, he had even been a notable guest of John Cope, a chief agent of Cape Coast Castle, ...

The Latest Milestone Is Special For Joe Thornton

from Paul Gackle of the Mercury News, Whenever Joe Thornton is asked about the latest-hockey legend that he’s passed in the NHL record books, he blushes and expresses humility. It’s a scene that played out when he eclipsed Mario Lemieux in November, Gordie Howe in February and Stan Mikita in March. While every name on the ladder provides its own dose of modesty, Thornton couldn’t deny that moving into a tie with Steve Yzerman for eighth place on the NHL’s all-time assists list (1,063)...

[Citizen] I heard last week that discussions between JPM and Prof John Thornton, Barrick Gold Corporation Executive Chairman, was not only extensive, but very productive. I think it is true; spot-on because unlike the previous engagements in contracts between our fellow citizens and Barrick, this time the moral concept of win-win situation came out flamboyantly loud and flawlessly clear.

photo credit: NASA/Bill Ingalls Given a brand new idea, entrepreneurs tend to wonder: how do I build this thing? What technology do I need? So they dive in, work like crazy and finally end up with a solution...but only after much time and effort went up in smoke. Bad move. As a smart entrepreneur, you want to avoid this approach like the plague. Because if you can't sell your solution, your technical work amounts to precisely nothing. Space technology startups know this well. Working on ambi...
