How I Podcast: Family Ghosts/You Must Remember This’s Sam Dingman

We’ve asked some of our favorite podcast hosts and producers to highlight their workflows — the equipment and software they use to get the job done. The list so far includes: I’m L...

5 Reasons to Watch ‘The Dragon Prince’, the Best New Netflix Show No One is Taking About

Did you know it’s been almost 12 years since Netflix moved their business model from subscription-mail DVD rentals to online streaming? The company pivoted to video (sorry!) in 2007. Why am I bringing this up? Because I can recall, clear as day, having conversations at the time that boiled down to my generation telling older generations that Netflix had just killed cable. Like all Cassandra’s, we were ignored. Now, only a dozen years after taking their first steps into the digital world, Ne...

Oldtaku no Radio #026 – The Dragon Prince

There are some pretty high expectations for The Dragon Prince  given that it is the brain-child of Aaron Ehasz (head writer for Avatar: The Last Airbender ) and Justin Richmond. Thankfully, this fantasy-set tale of unlikely allies from different halves of a war manages to capture the charm of ATLA while forging a mostly different world populated with very round and refreshingly diverse characters. Join Jared and Ink as they chime in on the cast, the storytelling, the art, and the magic of fir...

'BlacKkKlansman' Entertains, But Falls Short Of Lee's Best

Which makes a team-up between Netflix and Avatar: The Last Airbender head writer Aaron Ehasz sound doubly fantastic. The streaming service has announced that it will release an all-new animated series called The Dr...

Uncharted 4 Creators Plot Nathan Drake's Last Hurrah

The creators of "Uncharted 4" -- much like cliff-diving, treasure-hunting series protagonist Nathan Drake -- aren't afraid to take a few risks. With the release of "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" on April 26, directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley are ending the smart-alecky fortune hunter's story at the peak of the franchise's popularity. Since the release of the original "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" in 2007, publisher Sony has sold more than 21 million copies of the "Uncharted" series. "It'...
