Have Patience: An Interview with Jane Weaver

None Though she has roots that run through the music history of Manchester and helped to shape some of the sounds associated with popular British music of the last two decades, Jane Weaver is just now taking her own turn in the spotlight. Her last three releases -- The Silver Globe (2014), The Amber Light (2015), and Modern Kosmology (2017) -- channel some of the styles she's explored since the late 1990s. But it is a trilogy of records that evokes a singular vision. Across these releases, she ...

Coachella 2019 lineup: The 5 biggest takeaways

The lineup for the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival finally dropped after a day-long tease on Wednesday, and if you’d been expecting the rumored headliners to be the real deal, well, at least you got the soon-to-retire Childish Gambino to close out the Friday lineup. The other two headliners arrive as a bit of a surprise with Tame Impala atop the Saturday bill and Ariana Grande on Sunday, and no Kanye West, no Justin Timberlake as the rumors had it in recent months. What else? Well,...

These are the 14 biggest music festival moments in Southern California this year

2018 might have been the year we reached peak festival, with more than 50 notable events with big-name headliners happening around Southern California. Tens of thousands of fans flocked to beaches of Orange County, the Coachella Valley desert, parks in Downtown Los Angeles and ext to the Queen Mary in Long Beach and even a racetrack in Fontana. Our team saw a lot of music at a lot of festivals in 2018 (and let’s be honest, ate a lot of festival tacos, too) and 2019 looks to be even busier. But b...

NY State Senator Apologizes For Tweeting ‘Kill Yourself!’ To GOP Aide

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — A New York state senator apologized Tuesday for what he called a “poor choice of words” after sending a tweet to a legislative staffer urging her to kill herself. Why Don’t Gun Owners Just Move From Where They Lose Their Rights?

Opinion Why Don’t Gun Owners Just Move From Where They Lose Their Rights? New York, USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- With the start of the new year less than a month away, many things will change as new members of state and the federal government are sworn in, and in some places, power changes hands. In Washington the Democrats succeeded in taking back the House, meaning that we will now likely see a move towards never ending impeachment proceedings and investigations. In various states though, governor...

NY Dem Kevin Parker Who Wants to Search Your Social Media Is A Violent Tax Deadbeat

Opinion New York Democrat Kevin Parker New York –-(Ammoland.com)- If New York Democrat Kevin Parker had his way, you would have to turn over your social media and search history to the authorities before your allowed to buy a gun. A$AP Rocky: Sundress

Fresh off the buzz from his 2018 release, TESTING, comes A$AP Rocky’s Kevin Parker-infused and Danger Mouse-produced track titled “Sundress.” The song samples Tame Impala‘s “Why Won’t You Make Up Your Mind?” from the full-length debut Innerspeaker. The upbeat track is anchored by the sample, but its highest points are Rocky’s chorus and his heartbroken verse—which is reflected in the video’s choose-your-adventure-style love story directed by Frank Lebon.

New Video: A$AP Rocky Feat. Tame Impala “Sundress”

A$AP Rocky’s test isn’t complete just yet. Despite releasing his third album this past summer, the Harlem rapper is seemingly itching to crack open his vaults (perhaps as a response to the tepid reception to his aforementioned project). He previewed a couple new joints during his recent performance at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw, including a much-hyped collaboration with Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, whose other hip-hop and R&B clients include Travi$ Scott, SZA and Theophilus London. Desert Daze’s inaugural year at the Lake Perris State Recreation Area is in the books. Desert Daze 2018: What you need to know about the first two days of the festival

Desert Daze packed plenty of drama in its first two days at the Lake Perris State Recreation Area. On Friday night, severe thunderstorms rolled through, prompting organizers to pull the plug on the whole night early in Tame Impala’s set. A day later, it was like the rain had washed away the bad vibes of the night before (and the opening day parking woes) with hours of psychedelic rock at the lakeside park. But Friday wasn’t all bad. Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker brought his new project Jarv Is, which inc...
