Struggling movie theater chain AMC is paying its CEO Adam Aron a $3.75 million bonus, it wrote in a filing Friday.
Other top AMC execs are entitled to bonuses of between $173,000 and $507,000, it said.
The bonuses were approved to recognize "the extraordinary efforts of employees" during the pandemic.

AMC Entertainment on Tuesday extended its two-day stock rally to 36% after NY Gov. The number of visitors to cinemas owned by AMC, the world's largest theater chain, has fallen 90% year-on-year, and its revenue has plummeted to match.
The company on Monday reported a pre-tax loss of $901 million in the quarter.
AMC sold just 6.5 million tickets in the quarter, down from 87.1 million in the previous three months, as cinemas in the US and elsewhere shut their doors thanks to COVID-19.

MGM held discussions with Netflix and Apple about releasing "No Time To Die" directly on their streaming platforms, sources told Bloomberg.
MGM wanted around $600 million for the upcoming James Bond installment, but the streaming giants only wanted to pay half this price, Deadline reported.
MGM has pushed back the release to April 2021 "to preserve the theatrical experience for moviegoers," it told Bloomberg.

Regal is closing its more than 500 US theaters indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic and a lack of new releases to show.
The closure is expected to affect as many as 45,000 jobs in the US and UK.
