We’re Nine, That’s Lots of Blogging Birthdays!

Can you believe it? Nine times, we’ve celebrated our birthday with you (our amazing readers and supporters) — it all started with Dr. No and the Parade of Horribles; then a Seth milestone here. It turns out, everybody did have it wrong. I’m not sure I saw anybody with the exact bracket predicted last night. I prob...

Mock Orange sign to Topshelf for new album, share "Nine Times"

Mock Orange are the latest "golden age" emo band to sign to Topshelf, and they'll release their first album for the label (sixth overall), Put The Kid On The Sleepy Horse, on May 20. It follows 2011's Disguised as Ghosts. In case you haven't been keeping up with Mock Orange, they haven't sounded like an emo band in a while. The album's new single "Nine Times" is arty mid-tempo rock with shaky vocals, and weird musical twists and turns... [Author: Andrew Sacher]
