Nite Ize Made a Toothless Zipper for its Vacuum-Sealed Travel Bags

You can make a bag as water-resistant as you like, but liquids can still get through a conventional metal or plastic zipper. That’s the problem outdoor supplier Nite Ize set to solve with its new RunOff bags. Nite Ize had to engineer a completely new approach to zippers, tossing out a century or two of convention to make a seal with sides that grip each other at every millimeter. When the “TRU Zip” head docks into the depression at the far end, the soft bag is absolutely airtight: putting a sol...

Gear On The Go: October 2018

The chill in the air means pumpkins on the dashboard and cider in our fridge. We’ve been on the road for seven months, adventured in over 10 states, and hiked thousands of miles. Our tour comes to an end at the end of this month but we still have plenty of exploring left to do! Let’s pull on those headlamps, puffy jackets and gloves, there’s still fun yet to be had. However, it does mean that this is our final Gear On The Go of the 2018 season. We’ve made it a good one!  Nite Ize Dual CamJam ...

Three Days, Three Community Events Celebrating the Outdoors

Outdoor Retailer has landed in Denver for only the second time, and the lead up to it was a busy one for us. We hosted three community-style events in three days. All of which brought people together in the great outdoors. On Saturday we piled into Carlos Vantana and nudged it up a forest service road for a group camp-out. Group camp-outs are always a roll of the dice. Will people show up? Will they bring friends? Will everyone be able to find the campsite easily? There are a lot of unknowns, ...

Sheath, pouch, holster

I need a belt pouch that will hold a Leatherman Wave, bit extension, and the two bit holders. Anyone know of a good choice. It would be truly golden if it would also hold my AA Maglite & Cell phone. I have a Nite Ize pouch that holds my Wave, AA Maglite, & Samsung smart phone but it's worn out. I have been wearing it every working day for at least five years so it held out fairly well. It seems that Nite Ize no longer offers the same pouch so now I need something to replace it. TNX -- To...
