Ken Hitchcock Out As Coach For The St. Louis Blues

(Feb. 1, 2017) – St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the Blues have relieved Ken Hitchcock of his coaching duties.  Associate Coach Mike Yeo (YOH), who was hired this past offseason as the incumbent to Hitchcock, will begin his tenure as head coach when the Blues host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday at 8 p.m. at Scottrade Center.  Armstrong and Yeo will hold a press conference today at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Mills.  Following the ...

Devils sign goaltender Ken Appleby to entry-level contract

The Record out of New Jersey is reporting the New Jersey Devils have signed goaltender Ken Appleby to a three-year entry-level contract Appleby, 20, attended training with the Devils and their AHL team in Albany on an amateur tryout after again going undrafted in June. The Record states that the 6-foot-4, 205-pound North Bay, Ontario native is expected to begin the season with Adirondack of the ECHL, but has not been assigned there, yet.
