Seahawks release Ed Dickson

When the Seahawks added Greg Olsen this offseason, they must have decided they didn't need his old backup. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Seahawks have released tight end Ed Dickson. Dickson signed a three-year, $10.7 million contract with the Seahawks in 2018, with hopes that he'd step out of Olsen's shadow in [more]

The Sequoia investor who left to start his own VC firm says startup founders can table their plans to raise funding. Here's what they need to do instead.

Chris Olsen, a former Sequoia investor who left to start his own VC firm in the Midwest, says startup founders can expect their access to funding to dissipate because of the coronavirus outbreak and its ripple effects. The companies that will survive will take drastic measures, quickly, to conserve capital over the next year. "If you overcorrect now, the cost of doing so is relatively minimal when you consider that the alternative is you gradually discover that you've gone out of business," Ol...

After a week of coronavirus confusion, foster families get some guidance

Parental dilemmas abound in the thick of the coronavirus crisis. But foster parents juggle an extra layer of complexity as they try to protect their young charges — and still honor court-ordered visits with biological families eager to get those children back. How does one allow visits while still maintaining safe distances? Isn’t everyone supposed to be avoiding in-person contact? Foster parents have been peppering state and county officials with such questions for at least a week, but answers ...

Trump, conservative think-tanker are very concerned that Warren is hurting Bernie, the 'progressive cause'

Some supporters of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) complained after Super Tuesday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren's (D-Mass.) cost Sanders a handful of primaries because, as they saw it, she took votes from her fellow progressive candidate, allowing former Vice President Joe Biden some big wins. You know who else is angry at Warren for hurting Sanders? President Trump, apparently.> So selfish for Elizabeth Warren to stay in the race. She has Zero chance of even coming close to winning, but hurts Bern...

Tight end Greg Olsen will suit up in a Seattle Seahawks uniform next season and he'll do it in a number he's all too familiar with. Greg Olsen couldn't pass up opportunity to sign with Seahawks

Greg Olsen had several options upon his release from the Carolina Panthers: He could retire from football and pursue his broadcast career or he could suit up in a uniform, join a contender, and give it a go one more time. The three-time Pro Bowler had visits with the Washington Redskins and Buffalo Bills, before arriving in Seattle to meet with the Seahawks, his eventual choice. "It was just too good of an opportunity to pass up," Olsen told

Seahawks land Greg Olsen

Greg Olsen took some time to make up his mind about what to do after visiting Buffalo, Seattle and Washington following his release from the Panthers, but he's come to a decision. PFT has learned, via a league source, that Olsen is signing with the Seahawks. Buffalo and Washington had clear connections to Olsen from his time in Carolina, but he'll be playing for Pete Carroll rather than reuniting with Sean McDermott or Ron Rivera in a new city.
