Walgreens has suspended contributions to the 147 Republican lawmakers who opposed the certification of president-elect Joe Biden.
The pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer has also reportedly decided to also suspend contributions to those lawmakers for six months.
The two corporations join Amazon, Marriott, AT&T and others in suspending donations to GOP lawmakers who tried to overturn the election.

Facebook is stopping donations to political parties for at least three months, Axios reported Monday.
JP Morgan and Citibank had already made the move, while other companies have said they will cut off donations just to GOP lawmakers who objected to certifying Democrat Joe Biden as president.

The US Capitol siege by pro-President Donald Trump rioters on Wednesday has set off a wave of actions from big tech companies.
Platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter have removed a video of Trump telling rioters "we love you, you're very special" but "go home in peace."
Twitter and Facebook have both locked Trump's respective social media accounts.

Billionaire Stephen Ross donated $1 million in December to a new independent expenditure committee, according to The New York Times.
The committee will reportedly focus on several NYC races, including the mayoral one.
