M. Night Shyamalan Has Been Self-Financing His Recent Films

Want to know how M. Night Shyamalan got back on top after falling from grace? He paid his way. The filmmaker, who has Glass hitting theaters this week, has been self-financing his recent films – The Visit, Split and now Glass. Shyamalan puts up the money for the movies himself, enabling him to maintain creative control. It’s a gamble, and so far, it’s paid off, and helped him reclaim box office (if not always critical) glory. Glass, which hits theaters this week, is likely headed towards a $...

The report says New York Knicks center Kanter is suspected of being par...

My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: South Carolina I purchased a new motorcycle in S. Carolina but I am a Pennsylvania resident. The dealer provided all needed papers, however the temporary plate is good only for 30 days and I will be in S. Carolina for at least 10 days after it expires. US joins China and Turkey in troubling approach to extraditions

A distasteful development in international relations has recently surfaced: the use of arrest warrants and extradition requests of individuals as bargaining chips in matters of broader foreign policy. Turkey, China, and the US are presently involved in actions that reflect a willingness to put pressure on each other by targeting private individuals. This is a corruption of the protection of individual rights in criminal cases, which is fundamental to the rule of law in America. Turkey has asked ...

Trump Signals Support For Renewed Assault Weapons Ban

UPDATE: My oldest son points out that this is from a year ago.  I asked him if that is important?  He says, “The Art of War” is necessary for understanding Trump.  It’s difficult to understand whether he’s serious or simply tactically owning or feigning positions.  My response: Then why the red flag laws and bump stock ban? Via Uncle, this isn’t the Onion.  It’s real. President Donald Trump raised the issue, unprompted, during a roughly hour-long televised meeting with Feinstein and other member...

Palm Springs Film Review: ‘Buck Run’

If not for a cell phone that’s promptly taken away from our juvenile protagonist, you might think “Buck Run” takes place in the late ’70s or early ’80s. A Trump 1950s TV Episode Truth Movement?

You’ve probably seen this really bizarre story of the Twilight Zone-like episode of the TV show “Trackdown” from 1958 which bears some difficult-to-believe resemblances to 2019 America. A conman named Trump comes to a town and gets everyone panicked that the world is about to end unless they agree to let him build a wall that will save them. As I wrote yesterday, when I first happened on the story I had to read it several times and then check it several different ways because I was sure it had t...
