Florida State suspends Greek life following alcohol death

LSU Fraternity Brother Released On Bond After Hazing Death

A Lousiana State student was released on bond Thursday following the hazing death of pledge Maxwell Gruver, according to reports. Gruver, 18, died from a what LSU police are investigating as a hazing-related death Sept. 14. Hudson Kirkpatrick, 19, was one of 10 men in LSU's chapter of Phi Delta Theta arrested for Gruver's death. Kirkpatrick's bond amounted to $5,000.

LSU Fraternity Member Charged With Negligent Homicide After Maxwell Gruver’s Hazing Death

Eight fraternity brothers were charged this week in connection to the death of Louisiana State University student Maxwell Gruver. Gruver died in September in what police called a potential hazing incident.  Ten people in total were charged in connection with Gruver’s death. Eight were members of the university’s Phi Delta Theta fraternity, while the other two were connected in some way to the fraternity but were not current members or students at LSU, police said.

Fraternity President at Christian University Charged With Rape 

Twenty-year-old Jacob Anderson, president of Baylor University’s chapter of Phi Delta Theta, was arrested for sexual assault on Thursday. Anderson was charged after a woman was admitted to a nearby hospital and underwent a rape kit.
