Etelek (meaning food in Hungarian) is a pop up in Potts Point in the old Gastro Park site that closes on September 14th. Chef Adam Wolfers creates modern Hungarian food, with at times, a Jewish twist. There are modern takes on the langos, everything bagel and parsnip schnitzel as well as other tasty noshes.

For decades, Potts Point right on the cusp of the CBD, has been home to award winning restaurants, serious small bars, some of the best city views, and now a boutique hotel that’s raising the bar...

A Summer in Italy at Wilmer's, Potts Point

Every few years or so the restaurants at Llankelly place do a bit of musical chairs with some closing and other ones taking their place, such is the fickleness of the Sydney restaurant scene. And then I get to sit and reminisce about the apartment building that I used to live in on Llankelly Place. The newest place however will be here for a mere three months. Wilmer's which takes the place of Wilbur's Place is a 3 month "Summer pop up" that finishes at the end of February by the Full Circle gro...

Friday Nights at Mercado, Sydney CBD

The translation of the Spanish word Mercado is market and in this little street behind busy George Street you could be in a back street in Europe (albeit without the cobblestones). Mercado is ex Nomad chef Nathan Sasi's latest venture after Good Times Ice Cream in Potts Point and is located just near Martin Place in the CBD. It is part of the China Lane (just around the corner) and China Doll family but is a departure from the group's focus on Asian food with a Spanish food menu.
