Qui Nguyen Awarded 2015 Steinberg Award for Off-Broadway Bound VIETGONE

Qui Nguyen 's VIETGONE, currently playing at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in a production directed by May Adrales, has earned the playwright the 2015 Harold and Mimi Steinberg/American Theatre Critics Association New Play Award, as announced at a ceremony at the 2016 Humana Festival at Actors Theatre of Louisville. The award is given annually to playwrights whose scripts premiered professionally outside of New York City and comes with a $25,000 prize.

'She Kills Monsters' comedy to be performed in November

Enter into the fantasy realm of role-playing games in "She Kills Monsters," a dramatic comedy by playwright Qui Nguyen, by attending one of multiple performances offered at Pellissippi State Community College. The play opens at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13, with additional showings at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 20 and 21 as well as matinee performances at 2 p.m. Nov. 15 and 22. All presentations are in the Clayton Performing Arts Center at Pellissippi State, 10915 Hardin Valley Road, Knoxville.
