Each snack consists of a chocolate cake layer topped with Reese’s peanut butter creme and covered in milk chocolate.
How are they?
When I unwrapped my package of Reese’s Snack Cakes, I was expecting a take on a Hostess CupCake or Zinger: a supple, airy sponge slicked with icing. What I found looked more like a candy bar: two chocolate-coated rectangles nestled in a cardboard sleeve, compact and entirely coated with milk chocolate.

A successful stuffing of Reese’s Pieces into Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups has led us down the sticky hole to the new Reese’s Big Cup with Pretzels. It’s taken four long years to go from Reese’s Pieces to pretzels, but if you’ve ever gone through a sticky hole, you know it takes a while to go through one.

April 17, 2020 at 12:00 PM If candy had big egos, how would Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and Reese’s Pieces would feel about Chips Ahoy Made with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate also containing semisweet chocolate chips and Chips Ahoy Made with Reese’s Pieces also containing peanut buttery chips?

I can’t say I’ve “loved” any of the Reese’s products I’ve reviewed recently, (Thins, Good Humor Bars, Whipped Topping) and it’s left me wondering if I even still “love” the iconic brand I grew up on.

It's a vending machine where some fortunate trick-or-treaters can feed their unwanted Halloween candy (cough *Good & Plenty*) to get a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in exchange. Now that's a clever marketing stunt!

September 21, 2018 at 4:00 PM Reese’s and Pillsbury have teamed up to offer a peanut butter cookie dough made with Reese’s Peanut Butter. No mixing. No bowls. Just break apart the block of dough, place the pieces on a cookie sheet, bake, and then think of all the time you’re saving by not making cookies from scratch and having to deal with all the cleaning after. The latest and (hopefully) greatest follow up to last year’s Reese’s Peanut Butter Doughnut – the Reese’s Outrageous Chocolate Doughnut; inspired by Reese’s latest chocolate bar. The new menu item features a chocolate yeast doughnut dipped in Hershey’s chocolate fudge icing, topped with mini Reese’s Pieces and drizzled with Reese’s peanut butter and salted caramel sauce.

Reese’s-flavored “Dairy Whipped Topping,” because “whipped cream” wasn’t enough of a mouthful.
How is it?
On paper, this is a great idea. The can is inviting. The image of peanut butter cream surrounded by a rainstorm of Reese’s cups only elicits happy feelings, so why is this so bad?
It’s an aerosol-style can with a nozzle, so I hit it from the source first. That’s where all the fun lies.
