Apple One Subscription Plans Will Support Users Who Have Multiple Apple IDs

After Apple announced its Apple One service bundles at its "Time Flies" event earlier this week, there was uncertainty among some users with older Apple IDs about whether Apple One would work with multiple Apple IDs. Some users have two Apple IDs, often split between one for iCloud services and one for purchases and subscriptions. This is a result of the fact that the iTunes Store account and Apple's various cloud service accounts were originally separate. As these accounts were eventually up...

Taos Water Girls

Edward S. Curtis, Taos Water Girls, 1905 Whenever I get an email about some auction or other, I usually find something being advertised that charms me. I know Edward S. Curtis's work and I seldom see one of his that I've never seen before. Correction, a good one of his, because every photographer has second- and third-rate pictures that haven't been widely published or seen. Edward Sheriff Curtis, of course, was the protean but problematic documentarian of Native Americans at the end of the fr...

Do Webinar Software Designers Understand Webinars?

I recently saw a tweet from presentation professional Richard Mulholland saying: DO NOT PRESENT ON MICROSOFT TEAMS! Seriously (and ironically), it was designed by people that don't understand presenting. Now, I don't happen to have a dog in that hunt. I don't use Microsoft Teams and as I often point out, my business and expertise is not related to peer-level web meetings. But I can empathize with Richard's frustration when it comes to presentation-oriented webinar technologies overall...

Study offers real world perspective on how Black patients experience mental healthcare

In a novel study the authors hope will contribute to improved patient care, Richard L. Roudebush Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Regenstrief Institute researchers examine how Black patients with mental health concerns evaluate verbal and non-verbal communication during treatment. The researchers, led by Johanne Eliacin, PhD, evaluate how perceptions of racial bias influence patient engagement with their providers.

Revelation 11:10

Revelation 11:10   (10) And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them, make merry, and send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. "Those who dwell on the earth" is a formulaic expression in the book of Revelation, and it simply means those who want nothing to do with God, the worldly. Maybe the easiest way to define it would be simply "the carnal," "the fleshly." Colossians 3:1-2 shows the opposit...

Paris Trash Cans

You are probably scratching your head and possibly saying the following things about the above blog title, photo, and post below. 1. Has Richard lost his mind, flipped his wig, gone insane, lost his marbles, gone off his rocker, gone mad, gone bonkers, went mental, or went bananas? Poor thing, the lockdown really must have gotten to him.   2. Why is Eye Prefer Paris posting about trash cans? Is that the only thing going on in Paris right now?   3. I know Richard has posted wacky th...

Whereto With Social Host Liability

Tort law in relation to alcohol-related injuries continues to grow and evolve over time, especially with a better understanding of how alcohol use can create a public harm, requiring a greater assumption of duty of care in certain circumstances. Jeffrey Epstein’s Right-Hand Mystery Men

The day after Jeffrey Epstein killed himself, a man wearing a red hoodie and L.A. Dodgers cap emerged from the dead sex offender’s Manhattan mansion.
