If you’ve been jonesing for a new John Cena comedy (F9 does not count, despite that franchise’s comical relationship with physics), the wait is almost over. Not only is Cena set to co-star in James Gunn’s comedically inclined superhero film The Suicide Squad in August, but that same month he will also be part of the ensemble cast of Vacation Friends, a new movie that also features Lil Rel Howery (Get Out, Bad Trip), Yvonne Orji (Night School, Insecure), and Meredith Hagner (Palm Springs, Search...

The Sparks Brothers – Movie Review

With his new film, The Sparks Brothers, Edgar Wright eschews his normal fare for something new, a documentary about Sparks, who have released twenty-five albums over their fifty-year career, influencing hundreds of contemporary artists around the world. Originally formed as Urban Renewal in 1967, Sparks have enjoyed more commercial success in Europe than here at home. Adapting to the times at their own whims they have done a bit of everything, from glam rock camp to floor stomping disco synth...

This Week In Trailers: Wildland, Cryptozoo, Blind Ambition, Who Are You, Charlie Brown?

Trailers are an under-appreciated art form insofar that many times they’re seen as vehicles for showing footage, explaining films away, or showing their hand about what moviegoers can expect. Foreign, domestic, independent, big budget: What better way to hone your skills as a thoughtful moviegoer than by deconstructing these little pieces of advertising? This week, we’re giving away psychiatric help for a nickel, go visit our off-the-rail relatives, opine while watching something magically anim...

Senior Living: As pandemic eases, many seniors have lost strength

Ronald Lundquist, 87, has been active all his life. So, he wasn’t prepared for what happened when he stopped going out during the coronavirus pandemic and spent most of his time, inactive, at home. “I found it hard to get up and get out of bed,” said Lundquist, who lives in Palm Springs with his wife of 67 years. “I just wanted to lay around. I lost my desire to do things.” One little-discussed, long-term toll of the pandemic is that large numbers of older adults have become physically and cogni...

Colonial Pipeline restarts operations after massive hack

By Cathy Bussewitz, Ben Finley and Tom Foreman, Jr. | Associated Press CLEMMONS, N.C. — The nation’s largest fuel pipeline restarted operations Wednesday, days after it was forced to shut down by a gang of hackers. Comment on classic shortbread by Ron

In reply to nbmandel. I guess it depends on what I am infusing with. Normally, I use a strainer to remove the solids after infusing. For something like the lemon rind, you can leave it in if you’d like (although after infusing there is really not much taste left in the rind).
