2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road Review: Great for Playing in the Mud!

2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road In Our Opinion: The 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road is the newest member of the automaker's TRD family. While the off-road capability is a given, we were taken back by how comfortable this RAV4 is on dry pavement. It was a pleasant surprise to discover this off-road rig was still pretty good in the city. Although we are not sold on the exterior styling, the interior is sharp and that makes up for it. Exterior Styling 74 Interior Layout 87 ...

2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure Makes its Debut in the Windy City

Toyota has a history of producing some very capable vehicles, with the Land Cruiser, 4Runner, discontinued FJ Cruiser, and hardcore Toyota Racing Development (TRD) off-road models being just a few examples. These days about half of all Tundras get sold with a TRD package. Obviously Toyota is eager to extend that sales magic to its line of car-based utilities, but without watering down the value of the TRD brand. A nearly stock RAV4 rally racer piloted by Ryan Millen and Christina Fate won NASA R...

STPR 2016

After a bit of rain on Thursday, recce for the 2016 Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally began on somewhat muddy Waste Management roads. While generally uneventful, many teams made the mistake of speeding on the public roads, throwing in a plot twist before the rally even began. It cost Ryan Millen and Christina Fate 45 seconds and 2015 Rally America Champions David Higgins/Craig Drew were also penalized a crucial 2:15 seconds. STPR 16 was all about plot twists. Sometimes when the worst that ...

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Looks Perfect For Hoth

Toyota sent their pro drivers Andy Bell and Ryan Millen to take the 2017 Tacoma TRD Pro to the western hemisphere's northernmost road for some spectacular photo ops. The white truck can be hard to spot in the snow, but when you can see it, it's quite a sight to behold.
