SANTA MONICA — Firefighters needed 18 minutes Thursday night to extinguish a fire in a restaurant in Santa Monica. BEVERLY HILLS — A Los Angeles man riding a motorcycle was killed Sunday in a Beverly Hills crash. The victim was identified as Russell Grossman, 49, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said. LOS ANGELES — An Uber driver who allegedly kidnapped four passengers by refusing to let them out of his vehicle on Halloween night in the Santa Monica area is scheduled to be arraigned Monday. Pedestrian hit by vehicle in West Hollywood

WEST HOLLYWOOD — Investigators were on the scene in West Hollywood Monday after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle and taken to a hospital. The victim’s condition was not immediately known. The accident, which authorities said was not a hit-and-run, occurred at 2 a.m. on Santa Monica Boulevard and Westbourne Drive in West Hollywood.
