Lake fire slows overnight; burns 10,500 acres, no containment

The massive Lake Fire has burned 10,500 acres near Lake Hughes, but the spread slowed down overnight from its initial blistering pace, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. SAN FERNANDO — A 24-year-old Saugus man was charged Tuesday with murdering his uncle, who disappeared from his Santa Clarita-area home about 3 1/2 years ago.
