The Art Deco Capital of the World

So it finally arrivedthe entire reason I had planned this trip. We went to South Beach to see the largest concentration of Art Deco buildings in the world. It's probably weird to say that we went to South Beach for any reason other than the beach or fo

The best restaurants in Miami

There was a time when there was no such thing as traveling to Miami just for good food. Restaurants were either flashy, expensive, and about as appealing as a corner table, or they were locals-only, hole-in-the-walls. Oh how things have changed over the last 10 years. Today, Miami is very much a food city. It’s attracted chefs from around the world, and restaurants are blending influences from the Magic City’s diverse population. You can easily find Thai tapas, Nikkei cuisine, and guava every...

Best spring break trips in the US

You don’t have to do five-story beer bongs off a beachfront balcony to have a great spring break. Though let’s be honest, it’s a better story if you do. The annual respite from school and work that runs from the beginning of March to mid-April is one of the great American traditions, where college kids create memories they won’t remember, and families finally have time for some peace and quiet. Even if you can’t afford a week of debauchery in Mexico or a family jaunt to Europe, each state has...

A graphic artist based in Portland, ME, USA, we wanted to share his 2017 project he worked for Rémy Martin in Miami at The W South Beach during Art Basel on a basketball court. That drone shot alone is totally worth this entire project in terms of awesomeness, make sure to check out that video too....

Why You Don’t Need A Fancy Diet To Lose Weight

In our consumer-centric society, marketers have been delivering weight loss to the public in the form of branded diets for so long, many people forget they can bypass the special packaging and go straight to the information and create a DIY diet. If diets weren’t given memorable names, nobody would be interested in trying them out. For instance, nobody wants to “eat plenty of fat, consume less than 20 grams of carbs per day, and minimize protein intake,” but they’ll jump on the keto die...

‘Russian Doll’ Director Leslye Headland to Direct Will Ferrell in FIFA Corruption Movie

Will Ferrell is about to star in another sports movie, but this one will be a far cry from the goofy antics of Semi-Pro, Talladega Nights, or Blades of Glory. Ferrell will star in American Huckster, an adaptation of a 2016 book about Chuck Blazer, a middle-class guy who managed to con his way to the upper echelons of FIFA, the professional soccer organization, and scam them out of millions of dollars. Leslye Headland, the co-creator, writer, and director of Netflix’s fantastic new series Russia...

Would Artemi Panarin Fit With The New York Rangers?

from Larry Brooks of the New York Post, ...if the Jackets, coached by a John Tortorella who has always preached the importance of honest self-evaluation, believe they are more likely the team that had been listing at 7-7 since Christmas (with just three victories in regulation) entering Saturday’s game against the Blues and was clear of a playoff spot by only three points than the kind of team that can run with Tampa Bay, Toronto and Washington in the Eastern Conference, then Kekalainen s...

Best LGBTQ bars and clubs in the US

Since the opening of Seattle’s The Double Header in 1933, American gay bars have propelled the country’s LGBTQIA community into the mainstream, nearly singlehandedly removing the stigma and replacing it with a feeling of pride and joy. As opposed to your typical run-of-the-mill bar or club, gay nightlife institutions have long been celebrated for their open-minded approach to fun, welcoming anyone over the age of 21 and encouraging them to express themselves in whatever ways they wish. Not on...

Life in the most affordable US city

Millennials will never be able to afford houses. This is the doomsday premonition of a lot of headlines these days — written mostly by people in New York and San Francisco, talking mostly to people in New York and San Francisco. Granted unreachable home prices aren’t exclusively the domain of NYC and the Bay Area; half of 18- to 34-year-olds in the United States spend over 30 percent of their income on housing, and 12 million people across age ranges spend over half. But outrageous rents and ...

Coolest Art Deco buildings in Miami

Art Deco style may have debuted in Paris, but its migration to Miami during the 1930s means that Florida’s seaside hotspot is now home to one of the world’s largest and most well-preserved collections of Art Deco architecture. Miami’s take on Art Deco (dubbed “Tropical Art Deco”) maintains the style’s signature devotion to straight lines and its geometric interpretation of nature but incorporates its own flair through the use of nautical elements and colorful pastels. There are more than 80...

Best hotels in Miami

Miami has no shortage of amazing hotels. With so many people flocking to the city to see the gorgeous turquoise waters of South Beach and incredible street art in Wynwood every year, hotels have to compete with each other by offering first-class restaurants, glittering pools, and as many extra amenities as possible. While there are too many great places to name, some stand out above the rest. If you’re overwhelmed by the sheer number of accommodation options in Miami, make things easy for you...

10 Best Cities in the United States for Startups and Entrepreneurs (2018)

Silicon Valley has dominated the U.S. startup ecosystem for many decades. Americans should travel domestically

It’s easy to make friends in the Midwest. Not that the concept of friendly people in the middle states is groundbreaking or anything, but it really is true. This is how I ended up hotboxing an F-150 in a Ft. Wayne parking lot outside a dive bar called the Brass Rail. Phil, my hot-boxing host, was the bartender at a music venue I’d been to earlier in the night. “You came all the way from Miami to FORT WAYNE?” the burly, bearded bartender said when I ordered a beer and told him I was visiting. ...
