The FAA has closed investigations into SpaceX's explosive Starship tests, clearing the way for the launch of a new prototype, SN10February 22, 2021 at 8:44 AM SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and the company's Starship rocket which aims to carry people and cargo to Mars in the future.

SpaceX appears to have acquired two oil rigs that it may transform into launch platforms for its forthcoming Starship rocket system, NASASpaceflight reported.
The floating "spaceports" would add to SpaceX's operations in Boca Chica, Texas, which are under a new environmental review.
Launching rockets from the water should be less disruptive for nearby residents.

Elon Musk said Friday that SpaceX has a "fighting chance" of sending an uncrewed Starship rocket to Mars in 2024, later than previously hoped.
