A Legend Will Return to Suzuki’s Lineup

In 2018, the Suzuki Hayabusa was taken off the European market. After being one of the world’s fastest production bikes for almost 20 years, it was time to hang up the gloves. Europe was also putting the squeeze on bikes that weren’t hitting the required emission standards, thus leading to the discontinuation of quite a few.  Though in the US, it was a different story. We didn’t see a Busa disruption until 2020 after it failed to appear on Suzuki’s 2021 lineup. However, this was to give the S...

The 6 Best Suzuki Motorcycles Ever Made

I was actually surprised to learn that 2020 is the 100th Anniversary of the Suzuki Motor Corp. This makes for a great time to look back at this iconic brand, and what I feel are just some of the incredible motorcycles they have created. These are bikes that stand out to me. I look at everything from my personal memories, to the market impact they have had. Two of these bikes defined whole new segments, supersport bikes, and power cruisers. The others have stayed at the top of their segments fo...

A New Hayabusa Is On the Way

Bigger, Better, Faster The Suzuki Hayabusa might still be for sale in the U.S. but elsewhere in the world, it has been ruled out due to emissions. So, Suzuki is now getting ready to release a new Hayabusa and, according to Motorcycle News, the new bike will go on sale in the spring of 2021.  This likely means Suzuki will reveal the new bike soon. Motorcycle News reports that in order for the new motorcycle to still be able to do the speeds the Hayabusa is known for, Suzuki will have to increase...

Guy Martin Chases 300 MPH in the Quarter Mile

He’s Getting Closer It’s safe to say Guy Martin is a bit of a madman, so it should come as no surprise that he’s going after the 300 mph barrier on a motorcycle for the standing quarter mile.  In recent testing at Elvington airstrip, Martin took his turbocharged Hayabusa to 247 mph. That was without the rear fairing even attached. The 247 mph run was done in terrible weather. According to Motorcycle News, Martin had to battle 50 mph winds at times. Martin has gone faster than that in the past. ...

Our Favorite 2020 Model Year Sportbikes Under $15,000

There have been a lot of really great sportbikes released in this last year, but a lot of them are high dollar. When I say that, I mean more than $15,000. Even many of the new middleweight sportbikes come with a pretty high price tag.  I’m not saying that means they’re overpriced. These machines are fantastic and most of them are worth every penny of the price tag, but if you want something new for 2020 and you want a sportbike, your options decrease. With that said, there are still plenty of...

The Divisionist: Federal Moto’s first BMW bobber

Some custom shops crank out the same style of build, over and over again. But for Federal Moto that would be terminal. Their crew is young, eager to experiment and wary of stagnation. So when a local film production company approached Federal to build a custom bike, they picked a genre they hadn’t yet tackled. For their seventeenth project, commissioned by Divisionist Films, the Chicago workshop created their first BMW-powered bobber. “Eight years ago we started off as a ‘cafe racer’ cust...

New Suzuki Hayabusa Patent Leaks

A New Busa Coming The Suzuki Hayabusa might still be sold here in the U.S. but in other areas of the world, it was discontinued due to emissions. I suspected that Suzuki was hard at work on a new Busa, and now some patent info for a new model has leaked. According to Motorcycle News, reliable sources in Japan have said that the displacement of the bike will be increased to 1,440cc. This along with some other tweaks will allow the company to meet emissions standards. The boost in displacement wi...

Is This the Exhaust System for the Next Suzuki Hayabusa?

Hopefully, It Makes Joyous Noise We reported a while back that Suzuki has a new Hayabusa in the works. Now we may be seeing the first patent for the next model. According to RideApart, the company has filed a patent for a new 4-into-2 exhaust system. It looks like it could be used on the next Hayabusa superbike. Crafting a new exhaust system is a delicate science. It has to sound good, but not be too loud. It also has to allow the engine to breathe enough to create good power without spewing to...
