Tap, a new startup from Sam Rosen, wants to be the Google of drinking water

MakeSpace founder and former CEO Samuel Rosen is ready to launch his next venture, and it has little or nothing to do with the on-demand economy. This time, Rosen is setting his sights on the world of water. Tap aims to be the world’s first public index and global search engine for drinking water. Plastic water bottles are, in many ways, the scourge of the planet. More than 90 percent of the environmental impact of plastic water bottles happens during manufacture, and the Guardian reported that ...

Too Late for Boston Beer Buy Out?

Considering the tireless advocacy Boston Beer (NYSE: SAM) founder and chairman Jim Koch has done on behalf of craft beer, a buyout of the brewer, which has arguably been the face of the industry for years, seems far-fetched.Yet plenty of craft brewers have derided the trend of beer giants like Anheuser-Busch InBev (NYSE: BUD) and Constellation Brands (NYSE: STZ) swooping in and buying up small, regional breweries only to sell out themselves when a big enough check was waved in front of the...

Is Anheuser-Busch InBev Damaging Its Own Beer Sales?

Anheuser-Busch InBev (NYSE: BUD) is once again mocking the craft-beer industry, even as it buys up every craft brewer in sight. In a series of ads for its Bud Light brand, the brewer that once reveled in its largeness with a Super Bowl ad proclaiming it to be not just a mega-brewer but a "macro" one is now taking aim at craft beers' penchant for brewing up creative and even exotic taste profiles.Bud Light is America's most popular beer, commanding a 16% share of the market, but as craft-beer s...

They celebrate two different TAP landmarks.   TAP Retro Livery The first aircraft that was unveiled last month was their retro livery.
