A story in time

The Israel Contemporary Players will join forces with the Nimrod Opera company of Zurich and a glittering array of top stars from across the globe in a production of the opera Cassandra, which will take place at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art on March 5 at 8:30 p.m. The multisensory, multidisciplinary show is set to a score by Michael Jarrell. Cassandra is based on the novel of the same name, published by East German-born writer Christa Wolf in 1984.

New exhibition opens at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art: "Walter Benjamin - Exilic Archive"

Haim Steinbach, Untitled, 1989, walnut-veneered wooden box, steel and leather, Mies van der Rohe daybed, wooden coffin, paper-mache skeleton, 176.2x257.8x208.6 cm. The exhibition presents selected items from the archive of Walter Benjamin, one of the most prominent philosophers and cultural critics of the 20th century, together with works of art that refer to them.
