Consumers now average 4.2 hours per day in apps, up 30% from 2019

The coronavirus pandemic has increased our collective screen time, and that’s particularly true on mobile devices. US iPhone users spent an average of $138 on apps in 2020, will grow to $180 in 2021

U.S. consumers spent an average of $138 on iPhone apps last year, an increase of 38% year over year, largely driven by the pandemic impacts, according to new data from app store intelligence firm Sensor Tower. iOS App Store Spending Grew 20% YoY to $18 Billion in Q3 2020
