.357 magnum reloading question...

Hey there Ive only ever used jacketed bullets, but recently I got a deal on some hard cast that I could not pass up..... and ive got a ton of it. Looking for a nice target load that I can mass produce... Ive been told that loading hardcast too hot can cause leading, which I was aware of... but also that loading them too light can cause leading as well. Here are some loads I put together. They both shot nice and below is the data from them.. Anyone in the know, let me know what you think Th...

NHL Loyalty Programs Reward Fans & Drive Data Collection

I admit I am a loyalty card addict. I have been an Aeroplan member since 1985, maintained an Air Miles card for 23 years and faithfully collect Westjet Dollars through everyday purchases with my Westjet Rewards Mastercard. Professional sports teams, including some NHL teams, are recognizing the value of incorporating fan loyalty clubs and cards into their marketing strategy. According to marketing firm DCR Strategies, “New technology, combined with the immense growth of professional sports aroun...

Interviewing for Cultural Fit? You’re Doing It Wrong

There’s tension between two things every business claims to want: cultural cohesion and employee diversity. It’s natural to want to hire people who “fit” into the company’s existing culture. Economist Sara Ellison, the lead author of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology study on gender diversity, notes that homogeneous offices have more social capital because they tend toward cooperation. Although homogeneity may make employees feel comfortable, Ellison’s study found it’s not necessarily co...

On this episode of The Small Business Radio Show… Do you have a bucket list in which none of the bolder items are crossed off? Huawei knows how to make phones that look unique

Ironically often pronounced ‘Who Are We’, Chinese smartphone brand Huawei is, in fact, the second biggest smartphone company in the world, second only to Samsung (followed by Apple at third place). The company, although banned in the USA because of the US-China trade war, knows how to create phones that look stunning and captivating. They pioneered the metallic gradient that literally breathed a new life into smartphones, and also were arguably the first big brand to push out a triple-lens camer...

The Chuck bookshelf is unique, simple, dynamic, and an artpiece in itself

The Chuck, a Red Dot winning bookshelf, ticks all my boxes for innovation and design. It’s simple in its construction, easy to use, fun to interact with, can store books/media of different types and sizes, has the capacity to look strikingly different every time you make a change to it, and is very capable of being the most interesting piece of furniture in your room. With two metal members on either side holding together six strips of wooden veneer, the Chuck bends and flexes as you place books...

Stop Apologizing for Who You Are

Sometimes, the first thing I do when I come downstairs in the morning is apologize for sleeping “so late.” It is after 7:00am, I suppose. I’m a night owl by design. My body’s ideal schedule would be sleeping from 1am-10am, like a teenager on a Saturday. I come by this desire naturally; it’s literally in my bones. My mom has been retired for almost three years now, and when I’m up putzing around (or watching Netflix) at midnight I know I can text her to chat because she’ll be awake. That late-nig...

Is AUv3 the future? Sugar Bytes certainly think so

As they’ve just updated their Unique apps for iOS (iPhone and iPad) to remove both Inter-App Audio and Audiobus. They’ve decided to do this as, in their view, AUv3 is now the future for iOS, which is an interesting view. I’m not saying I disagree, but for some users it will certainly limit choice, and of course, not everyone is an audio units fan. I’m guessing that they’ll follow along with the rest of their apps in due course, so we can expect the same treatment in Cyclop, Effectrix and WOW Fil...

Holidays in the Seychelles will be Unique

Travel Experta, Expat Mama, Educator and Entrepreneur - Inspiring Families to New Horizons What many vacationers do not mind is that you can travel in Seychelles all year round. Due to the proximity of the equator, the climate is always tropical-mild and the temperatures are almost constant at 30 degrees. Between the months of December and February falls on the Seychelles the most precipitation, which is why these periods do not offer for a holiday. The archipelagos of the Seychelles offer lux...

What Slab City looks like

Ever since I heard of Slab City — a self-governed community located in the middle of the desert in southern California — I’d been curious as to what living here was really like. It’s been described as “the last free place in America” because there are no rules and no laws. I’d always heard that it’s a bunch of squatters, hippies, and homeless people. I spent a night here and learned that, although this is partially true, many Slabbers are also just your average, everyday people, simply wantin...

5 Dental Logos That Will Brighten Your Smile

There are many dentists and dental practices in the world, but most suffer from a common problem that limits their ability to build a strong brand: their logos are generic and in most cases, composed solely of clip art. As we wrote previously: One of the best parts of a logo, assuming you’re not using generic templates, is that it can only be associated with your business. It doesn’t matter if a different company is similar to yours, what matters is that your logos are different. As a result, y...

3 Mistakes That IT Managers Need To Avoid Making

IT managers need to know what kind of mistakes they need to avoid Image Credit: Chris & Karen Highland As we work towards trying to become better IT managers, we tend to focus on our IT manager skills in order to determine either what we are not currently doing or what we could be doing better. However, it turns out that there is something else that we need to be doing: making sure that we don’t do things that we should not be doing. The first step in making this happen is to ensure that w...

Why a Minimalist Logo Can Work Great For Your Business

Successful businesses often share a common trait: they have unique, simple, smart logos. As we wrote previously: The most important job of a logo is to help customers and customer prospects identify your company. That’s why the best logos are simple and memorable. Just think about how many logos you are able to recognize in your everyday life! Those logos serve as a reminder that Nike was the brand that made your shoes, or that Apple is the reason why you’re reading this on a Macbook. Unique, s...

What the hell is this scary instrument straight from nightmares

This instrument sounds like nothing else, which might be for the best as it sounds like a terrifying horror movie. The Apprehension Engine is a one-of-a-kind instrument commissioned by Mark Koven, a composer who has worked on films like Cube and The Witch. With a talent for creating the spine-tingling soundtracks of massive horror movies Koven went looking for something truly unique and unsettling. Koven commissioned his friend and luthier Tony Duggan-Smith to create a completely distinctiv...
