Virgin Galactic plans first rocket-powered test flight from New Mexico for next week

Virgin Galactic has revealed the flight window for the first rocket-powered flight of its VSS Unity spacecraft from the shiny new Spaceport America in New Mexico. The ship could be in the air as early as December 11. This flight will be the third for Unity out of the future passenger spaceport, but the last two have been gliding flights, not propulsive ones. What is Roblox worth?

With Roblox joining the end-of-year unicorn stampede towards the public markets, we’re set for a contentedly busy second half of November and early December. I hope you didn’t have vacation planned in the next few weeks. This morning we need to get deeper into the Roblox S-1 so that we can better understand the nature of its revenue generation. Why? Because we want to start working on what the gaming company is worth; some comparisons are being made to Unity, another unicorn that went public ear...

Gaming rules the entertainment industry, so why aren’t investors showing up?

As gaming’s popularity reaches epic heights, venture investors’ activity in the industry doesn’t seem to equate with the overall size of the games market. Spurred by an unreal year where traditional entertainment has been upended by the COVID-19 pandemic and consumers find unity in virtual worlds like Animal Crossing and Fortnite, gaming has never been more popular. Late-stage investors have shown that they have a tremendous appetite for businesses in the gaming industry. They’ve been pouring ca...
