NORTH HOLLYWOOD — An electrical fire broke out on the roof of the City National Bank building in North Hollywood Thursday night, but firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 30 minutes. VAN NUYS — A welfare check led police Tuesday to discover the bodies of a woman and a man shot to death in Van Nuys in what police are investigating as a possible murder-suicide. A man was struck and killed by a big rig Tuesday afternoon on the 405 Freeway in Van Nuys. The collision occurred about 3:45 p.m. on the southbound 405 near Victory Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Elizabeth Kravig.
