Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” Reimagined To Account For Climate ChangeJanuary 12, 2021 at 5:01 PM “Like the original music, some of the representation is fairly literal: Instead of hearing strings play what sounds like a thunderstorm once, you might hear it repeatedly, illustrating the extreme rainfall that some cities will experience. Much of the score, though, is meant to evoke the feeling of each season. Vivaldi’s “Spring” was intended to be joyful; the new version sounds discordant.” – Fast CompanyTags: Art, Music, Vivaldi, 01.12.21 79 people like this. Like Windows 10 - Default browser & identifier linksAugust 26, 2020 at 11:13 PM Every few months or so, Windows 10 likes to "forget" my default browser and set it back to the default (insert many curses about Edge here). It happened again today.
I set it back to Vivaldi, but now no matter what I do (restart Calibre, restart Windows, change the default browser to something else), clicking on any identifier links in Calibre (goodreads, amazon, url, etc) fail to open it in the browser. It worked fine before my browser default reset itself.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?...Tags: Books, Calibre, Vivaldi 37 people like this. Wendy Carlos did a great deal to prove that with her 1968 album Switched-On Bach, composed entirely (and laboriously) on an early Moog synthesizer. Despite its controversial union of long-revered compositions with practically untested musical technology, that project won high praise, not least from as famed an interpreter of Bach as Glenn Gould.
