Volvo, FedEx test truck 'platooning' on public U.S. road

FY2016 EPS Estimates for Volvo AB Cut by Analyst

Equities research analysts at Jefferies Group dropped their FY2016 EPS estimates for shares of Volvo AB in a note issued to investors on Wednesday, Zacks Investment Research reports. Jefferies Group analyst G. Phillips now forecasts that the brokerage will post earnings of $0.96 per share for the year, down from their previous estimate of $1.03.

Europe: truckmaker Volvo AB readies $497 million for EU antitrust investigation

The Swedish company, currently the second-largest truckmaker and in no relation with Volvo Cars, has set aside a provision of 400 million euros after seeing a European Commission statement on potential antitrust violations. According to the Gothenburg, Sweden-based manufacturer, which has no relation today to Geely-owned Volvo Cars other than the same name , the provision will take its toll on the fourth-quarter operating income at the trucks unit.
