Hiking, Biking, and Walking Across Italy: How to Explore the Cammini d’ItaliaJanuary 13, 2021 at 1:45 AM “Italy has embraced the Via Francigena as none of the other three nations have,” writes Timothy Egan in his New York Times bestseller A Pilgrimage to Eternity: From Canterbury to Rome in Search of a Faith. As he walks the storied route that traverses England, France, and Italy, Egan explains what makes walking the Italian section of the Via Francigena so appealing: This country never threw off its Catholicism; monarchs with their own religious agendas were scarce, and Protestants still are. Ireland. It’s a scenic country full of rolling green hills, photogenic cliffs, impressive castles, cozy Irish pub, friendly locals, and a lot of Irish charm.
I’ve loved every part of my experiences in Ireland.
My first trip was a quick 24-hour visit to Dublin, but, I loved it so much I’ve gone back about four times since. Ireland has a special magic to it that makes every visitor fall in love. (Ok, not everyone, but most people love it here!)

Europe is one of the most popular destinations in the world.
While I love solo travel as much as the next person — and think Europe is one of the best places to backpack around — the continent is also a huge destination for tour groups.
When you think of group tours, you may imagine a horde of camera-clicking tourists wearing socks and sandals swarming off a massive bus, taking lots of pictures, and then moving on to the next site.
In the past, that image ...Tags: Travel, Europe, Spain, Danube, Paris, Italy, Vatican, Jordan, Louvre, Seine, Viking, Intrepid Travel, Walking Tours, Versailles, Sistine Chapel, Sachsenhausen 142 people like this. As you may know, I’ve been basing my travels lately around a theme in order to make them a little more than just a checklist of the top attractions. Having spent some extended time in London recently, I decided to focus my trip around a thing I love to death: walking tours. I wanted to see this city on foot and learn about it from the ground up.
Since London is a megacity filled with a mega number of walking tours, from free tours and literary tours to pub cr...Tags: Travel, Europe, England, London, Barcelona, Harry Potter, Parliament, Shakespeare, Jack, Andy, Walking Tours, St Paul, Mick, LONDON London, Jack the Ripper, Don t Forget Travel Insurance Travel 64 people like this. The glittering shop-fronts and designer emporiums of the Champs-Elysées and the world-renowned Galeries Lafayette department store might be top of the itinerary for shoppers in Paris, but some of the city’s most atmospheric shopping arcades are hidden from view down the side streets. Paris’ Passages Couverts (“Covered Passageways” or “Les Arcades”) date back to the early 19th century, when some 150 such shopping arcades sprung up around the city, fast becoming the...Tags: Travel, Europe, Shopping, India, Things To Do, Paris, Champs Elysees, Places To Go, Zoe Smith, Paris Things To Do, Walking Tours, Jean Paul Gaultier, Galeries Lafayette, Galerie Vivienne 53 people like this.
