Far more importantly most importantly to me did it actually cover something? What were your cost? I'm doing research on some hikers insurance and it is extremely frustrating there's so much lawyer fine print

sprouting microgreens

I have just recently started sprouting for micro green consumption. Practice for overwinter nutrition needs, and a better diet that I need. I have had store bought alfalfa sprouts and bean sprouts in Asian and other dishes before I decided to try it on my own. I had started small and decided to double my trays after just a few attempts I will probably double it again soon. I really enjoy the clean flavors I have gotten so far. I may have jumped the threads here as I wanted to get my own ide...

2020 Dems...who's scariest?

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...rourke-running As I was watching the news and they were talking about K.Harris throwing her hat in the ring for 2020, I'm wondering who y'all think is most scary for America? The list is large already and growing. At least there isn't any hitlery in sight....yet. [emoji33]

Pork Canning Fail

Got some pork country ribs on sale for $.98/lb. Deboned them and ended up with 10 lbs of good meat. Opened the canner and a jar had broken, no big deal, just one jar. Took the jars out. Helped with the kids and vacuumed tr h basement. Came back and two of the three remaining jars never sealed!! I got distracted and forgot to tighten the rings after I took them from the canner. One sealed though. Looks like pulled pork sandwiches the next few nights. Kind of a bummer.

Help with 1 year food list

Hey guys. A fairly new shooting buddy of mine has "woken up". He has been commenting on the messed up stuff in the news and asking me what and how much food and water and supplies he needs for his family of 3. He wants to use his tax refund to stock up, bit is overwhelmed. I have my thoughts and ideas, but as usual, would like some other perspectives and thoughts on the subject. What would you suggest for shopping list for one man, one women, and one child (5 year old) for one year of foo...

Stolen trailer

Here's a picture of my first trip out with my 67 Alaskan this past summer. I've decided that it would be better for me to pull it rather than hauling it. I took the camper off to move my daughter to college with the "truck bed trailer" last Thursday. As my wife and I were heading home, the trailer had a blow-out on I-70 just west of Topeka. I didn't have a jack or spare so I unhooked it along the highway and planned on coming back the next day to get. Well, the weather was awful on Friday (4"...

Lady Gaga says she's a Christian

Quote from Lady Gaga in the Patriot Post. Quote: The BIG Lie: "To Mike Pence, who thinks it's acceptable that his wife works at a school that bans LGBTQ: You are wrong. You said you should not discriminate against Christianity. You are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman, and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace, Mr. Pence, and l...

Ford 8n vs 641

Literally all I know about this deal is a buddy is going to look at both tomorrow. The 8n is $500 the 641 is $800 and I have the option to buy either I want. (He's a farmer, mechanically inclined and has a couple tractors. We do deals together and hook each other up.) so either will be worth it if he gets them and gives me the option. I need a 4x4 with a front end loader, (got the cash, can't justify spending it) but I could use either a bit. I know a bit about the 8n's, quick Google (I'll b...

My little solar setup

Thought I'd share for those of you interested in Solar or those thinking about doing it. It was less expensive and easier than I thought it would be, it is more intimidating than it really should be......just completed less than a year ago so still getting used to the novelty of it all..... Did all the work myself. I have some electrical experience which does make it easier but is not necessary IMO. It is so good to finally be completely off the grid. wild things characters for wounded warrior

I play a table top game called Blood Bowl. Itds a fantasy football sort of game what came out in 1985. The game pits fantasy races against each other in a violent game of rugby/football. The game uses 28mm plastic, resin and pewter miniatures that the players paint and can be a hobby in itself. I designed a team of miniatures based on the book, Where the Wild Things are, by Maurice Sendak. The team contains 6 "big guy" wild things monsters, and 10 little guy Max figures, all cast in very nice ...

Native American

What does it mean? I was born in America, I have no other homeland. By definition, doesn't that make me native American? My ancestors have been in North America since the early 1750s. Are Mexicans native Americans? There was no border until the Guadalupe Hidalgo treaty. If you lined up ten men, five Mexican and five Indians, would you be able to tell the difference? Legitimate question. Where did the Indians come from? Who did they displace when they came to north America? Who did they kill?...

Should I go elk hunting? Why?

I am an avid outdoorsman and shooter. I grew up hiking, camping, and shooting every kind of gun imaginable. I have hunted varmints and predators several times and pheasants once. I have never gone big game hunting. It has never really appealed to me, for no particular reason. A close friend wants me to go elk hunting with him this year, should I do it? Why do those of you who hunt big game do it? How can I make it fun? What advise would you give me? I have all the gear I need and many...

Do you leave them dirty?

I wonder if I'm a little on the anal side when it comes to firearms cleaning. Several times a year I'll take out the collection, clean, inspect, and oil what needs it, even if I haven't been out with some of them. I added a couple items to the collection and neither of them had been cleaned for some time by the previous owners. They couldn't even be bothered when putting them up for sale. It took 4 soaks with bore cleaner and an hour to get clean patches out of one. The other had slight surf...
