In Washington, Platts reports that Energy Information Administration data shows that despite flooding across the Midwest that has inhibited flow of ethanol and feedstock as well as production in some cases, as well as those who have idled production due to low prices, production only fell by 2,000 b/d last week to an average of 1.004 million b/d. Total stocks also rose by 681,000 barrels to 24.412 million barrels with inventories in the Midwest, East Coast and West Coast, the later even without ...

Perris Auto Speedway is growing its legacy for short track racing

Short track racing has always been popular and well attended in Southern California. The center was the half-mile Ascot Speedway in Gardena, run by the late J.C. Agajanian. The track opened in 1957 and remained active until 1990. The sport suffered for six years until Perris Auto Speedway opened March 30, 1996, in Riverside County. Since its opening, PAS has operated under Oval Entertainment and the Kazarian family on the SoCal Fairgrounds, a stretch of 18 years. And, if Oval Entertainment has i...

QUICK SILVER. Stephen Brisken’s Ducati 900 SS Cafe

Written by Andrew Jones How many 21-year-olds do you know with a killer workshop and an amazing bike collection? The answer is probably zero. That’s because – unlike other things in life – getting older seems to be a distinct benefit in the bike scene. With no more kids, years of riding experience under your belt and the mortgage paid off, many of us find ourselves in a position where those dream bikes we’ve always wanted are finally within reach. Not only that, but you also have the time to ...

The Marathon Petroleum refinery looms in the background behind a Shell and Chevron gas station in Carson on Monday, Mar. 18, 2019. Ride-hailing firm Lyft launches IPO road show in Uber’s shadow: Reuters

(Reuters) – Lyft Inc kicked off the investor road show for its initial public offering on Monday, targeting a valuation of up to $23 billion and seeking to woo money managers before larger ride-hailing rival Uber Technologies Inc goes public in April. The IPOs of Lyft and Uber represent a watershed for Silicon Valley’s technology unicorns, which for years have snubbed the stock market in favor of raising capital privately, with investors happy to back their frothy valuations. The market rally of...

Action Bronson Cooks with the Ultimate Herb in 'Stoned Beyond Belief'

As far as 21st century renaissance men in our time of bro culture go, it might be harder to find one more entertaining – or unabashedly authentic – than Queens native Action Bronson. Since firmly cementing his place in the pop culture landscape during the early part of the decade, the epically bearded, heavily tattooed rapper has delighted hip-hop heads with his jubilant, idiosyncratic lyrical style. (He's also raised concerns about misogyny in his lyrics, as explored in "When Do Misogynistic Ly...

Warren Stands Behind Wonky Campaign Despite Lackluster Fundraising

BOSTON (AP) — Elizabeth Warren has spent much of the last decade as a leader of the Democratic Party’s liberal wing. But three and a half months into her presidential campaign, the Massachusetts senator is facing tough questions about fundraising and electability, along with lingering skepticism about her past claim to Native American identity. The longtime liberal superstar is embracing an uncomfortable role in the crowded 2020 contest: the underdog. “This is the race I want to run,” Warren ...

Austin Dillon learns pole position is no advantage at Auto Club Speedway

FONTANA – Starting a Cup race on the pole doesn’t seem to be much of an advantage at Auto Club Speedway. Austin Dillon turned in the fastest lap in the swirling wind on Friday, but struggled in the heat on Sunday and finished 10th, about half a lap behind race winner Kyle Busch. Only three of the 30 races held here have been won by the driver who started first. A minor brush with the wall, began Dillon’s downfall. It happened on Lap 55 while he was running in fifth, and he had to make an unsched...

A Wave Of New Bills Would Ban Abortion Before Most Women Even Know They're Pregnant

While President Donald Trump is banking on the power of inflammatory anti-abortion rhethoric to help him win the White House again, conservative lawmakers in state legislatures across the country are laserfocused on taking the fight to the courts. The road to making abortion illegal in the U.S. again is paved with extreme regulations like so-called “hearbeat bills.”Since January, nearly a dozen states have introduced this type of legislation, which bans abortion as soon as a fetal heartbeat is ...

Edgar Cayce prediction

If Mt. Vesuvius and Mt. Pelee erupt at the same time, residents of the West coast of the US have 90 days to evacuate before cataclysmic flooding occurs on the coast. Nevada will also be flooded. I'm not saying that the eruptions will necessarily cause the flooding, only that the eruptions will mark the beginning of the 90 days prior to flooding. Neither of those volcanoes are currently active, so if either become active it will be a big deal in the news and it's not likely the event will slip ...

Bruins Forged Identity Over Historic Streak

Over the course of their league-best 19-game point streak, which ended Sunday night in Pittsburgh, much came to light regarding the identity of the Boston Bruins. A deeper and more balanced lineup, an infectious character from top to bottom and, most notably, an ever-increasing sense of resiliency were ticked off the checklist over the 15-0-4 stretch that dated back to Jan. 29. Whether for better or for worse, their historic hot streak has all but cemented an all too familiar route Boston must t...
